Learning Through Discovery

Our curriculum supports the whole child through creative, academic, social, practical, sensory, and Judaic experiences.

Arts and Sciences

Children engage in creative art projects like cutting, coloring, painting, gluing, threading, and sewing, while also diving into hands-on science experiences that encourage them to explore, ask questions, and discover how things work. By combining artistic expression with scientific exploration, they develop both their imagination and critical thinking skills in a fun, interactive environment.

Mathematics

Children engage with hands-on math materials designed to develop foundational skills like pattern recognition, sequencing, and number sense. These experiences help build their understanding of numbers and spatial relationships in ways that are fun and developmentally appropriate.

Social Emotional

We encourage children to work collaborately in a group setting. We teach concepts of sharing, caring for others and their environment. We encourage kindness in giving (tzedakah) and doing good deeds (mitzvot).

Practical Life

Practical Life activities help children develop coordination, concentration, personal independence, and a sense of order. Through everyday tasks like caring for themselves and their environment, as well as practicing kindness and polite behavior, children build essential skills that support their overall growth and confidence.

Sensory

In the Sensorial area, children develop their ability to notice subtle differences and similarities by exploring and sorting various materials. These activities sharpen their observation skills, helping them make comparisons, draw conclusions, think critically, and build sound reasoning abilities.

Judaic

Each Holiday comes alive as we incorporate traditional customs, stories, and Hebrew vocabulary into each area of the classroom. We use real life experiences while learning; we taste a real rimon (pomegranate) and sound a real Shofar (ram’s horn) for Rosh Hashana; we peel and grate potatoes to fry latkes on Chanukah, or grind wheat kernels to explain the process of wheat flour in Matzah for Passover.

Language and Literacy

Our classrooms support each child’s individual journey, allowing them to develop language and literacy skills at their own pace. We encourage a love of stories and expression, introducing phonics, word building, writing, and reading when children feel confident and ready to take those steps.
