Nechama Greenberg
Camp Director
She brings over 12 years of experience in camp leadership and early childhood education. As the director of The Garden Preschool and a long-time leader at Camp Gan Israel, she plays a vital role behind the scenes—overseeing curriculum development, program coordination, and the overall vision of the camp.
Her thoughtful approach and deep understanding of what makes children thrive help shape every aspect of the CGI experience. Nechama ensures that each day at camp is filled with creativity, purpose, and joy. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence make her a guiding force behind the magic of camp.
Chani Greenberg

Bringing vibrant energy and hands-on leadership to Camp Gan Israel, Chani Greenberg draws on four years of experience as a head counselor and director at camps across the globe—including Camp Gan Israel in Austin, Texas; Novato, California; Hannover, Germany; and right here in Oceanside/Vista, California. Chani brings a unique blend of creativity, global perspective, and unwavering dedication to her role. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with each camper help create a joyful and inclusive environment where every child feels at home.
She works closely with staff and campers to create a safe, fun, and meaningful environment every single day. Her enthusiasm and love for camp are contagious, and her leadership ensures that each camper feels valued, included, and excited to come back every morning.
