The safety of our students, their families and our Hebrew School staff is of utmost importance. The following current protocols as set by the San Diego County Health Officer will be implemented during Hebrew School. We will continually reassess these guidelines as appropriate and as guided by healthcare professionals

  • There will be no more than 14 students in Hebrew School at a time

  • Students will remain with their class during the Hebrew School.

  • Students will be seated distanced from each other.  

  • Temperature checks will be taken at drop-off. Any student with an elevated temperature will be sent home.

  • There will be hand sanitizing stations that will be used throughout the day, including the beginning of the day.

  • All teachers and staff will be required to wear face coverings.

  • Students ages 12+ will be required to wear face coverings. Younger students choosing to wear face coverings will be supported and encouraged.

  • Snacks will be individually packaged.

Sick Policy:

  • Keep your child home if they are showing any signs or symptoms of illness.

  • Children must be symptom free (without the aid of a fever reducing medication) for 72 hours.

  • If your child has an excessive and unusual runny nose, cough or sneeze, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, loss of taste or smell, or any other symptoms typical of COVID-19, the student will be separated from the group until they can be picked up by a parent or guardian.

  • The success of in person Hebrew School depends upon all families openly and honestly communicating whether anyone in their home has tested positive or even has any related symptoms.

  • With everyone following all the necessary proactive precautions, we are confident that your child(ren) can be provided with an amazing, educational and exciting year at Chabad Hebrew School.

  • If your child or anyone in your home has is not able to attend the in person Hebrew School they are able to join the virtual class on Wednesday afternoon.
